My kid loves to craft. I love to provide him with the materials to make his crafts. I do not like to spend a bunch of time preparing materials for him to make a craft that will take him 1 minute to complete. That’s why we don’t do very many of those handprint crafts you see all over pinterest. I think they’re super cute but the realities of putting paint on my kids feet or hands and expecting a perfect print is just silly. If I put paint on my child’s extremities it will most likely be outside and with a long stretch of paper or other material on which he can let loose.
So I compiled a short list of my favorite Valentine’s Day crafts that I feel like my kiddo could actually get into and without a lot of prep time on my part. Here goes!
Love Painting with Kids by Inner Child Fun – tape, paper and paint, BAM!
Tie Dye Coffee Filter Valentine Heart Craft by Meaningful Mama – coffee filters, paint and eye dropper or paintbrush, BAM! (we made about a hundred of these last year)
Heart Stamping With a Toilet Paper Tube by Craftulate – paper, paint and toilet paper roll – BAM! (you know you have one lying around somewhere)
Noodle Necklace by The Alison Show – noodles, paint and string – BAM! (painting noodles? Um, heck yeah!!)
Celery Rose Valentines by Thrice The Spice – paint, paper and celery – BAM! (a popular one in preschool. Let kids go wild with it!)
That’s it folks! Do you have any brilliant and simple Valentine craft ideas that would be good for a young toddler? Please share in the comments section!
